Linfield College Housing Policy
All students are required to live in college housing unless they are a 4th year college student, over the age of 21 (before the first day of the academic term), living with a parent/legal guardian (within 20 miles of campus), married or in a registered domestic partnership, or have a qualified dependent living with them.
Students Under 17
Housing for students under the age of 17 requires special consideration. These students and their parent or guardian must schedule an appointment with the Director of Residence Life to discuss the student's living options. On-campus suburb apartments are available to students who are at least 20 years old, junior credit standing (62 credits) and/or have completed two years of full-time college coursework.
Submit the Housing Preference Form online. Both the housing preference form and the $400 matriculation fee are due by the following dates:
January 15 Incoming spring semester freshman students
April 15 Incoming fall semester freshmen with special needs (housing preference form only)
May 1 Incoming fall freshmen
January 15 Incoming spring semester transfer students
June 15 Incoming fall semester transfer students
