Congratulations on your acceptance to Linfield!

Now that you've taken the tests, submitted the apps, and received your offer of admission, what's next? Over the coming months, we will be sending you more information. Listed below are the next steps in the process as you finalize your plans for college.

Before committing to Linfield:

Admission packet – Your admission packet included the Linfield 101 handbook. You, and your parents, should read through both for complete details to confirm your enrollment at Linfield.

Welcome to Linfield College 2015! Facebook Group – Request to join our exclusive Facebook group for admitted students. We'll keep you posted on important dates and reminders, and you can start connecting with future classmates and friends. Search Facebook for "Welcome to Linfield College 2015!" and request to join the group.

Financial Aid – If you wish to be considered for need-based financial aid, submit your FAFSA to Linfield (school code 003198) after January 1, 2015. Financial aid and cost information will be sent to all first-year, fall enrolling, admitted students by April 1; transfer students will receive it by May 15. Once received, please review all materials completely and reply with any requested documents as soon as possible. If you have special circumstances, please submit the Request for Special Circumstances form at your earliest convenience.

Matriculation Deadline – In order to secure your enrollment, you must submit the $400 matriculation fee by the appropriate deadlines (May 1 for first-year, fall enrolling students; June 15 for fall transfer students).

After committing to Linfield:

New Student Orientation and course registration information – Sent in May from the Office of Enrollment Services, this packet will include your New Student Orientation and Academic Advising Guide, online course registration time, summer common reading, and Colloquium faculty and peer advisor assignment.

Sign up for CatNet ID and Complete WebAdvisor Forms – Additional information is in the Linfield 101 Handbook, but this must be completed prior to registering for classes.

Submit Housing Preference Form – Review information in the Linfield 101 Handbook, and submit your housing preference form online. 

Upload College ID Photo – Skip the line at New Student Orientation, and upload your ID photo before August 1.

Course Registration – Additional information will be sent in the New Student Orientation and Academic Advising mailing in May.

Housing and roommate assignment – Mailed from the Office of Residence Life by mid-July, information will include residence hall, room, and roommate contact information. 

Tuition Payment & Forms – Pay tuition and fees, submit immunization and health forms, financial aid agreements by August 3 for fall enrollment.

All New Students (first-year & transfer): Attend New Student Orientation
