Hewitt Hall
Hewitt Hall was built in 1960 and named for Herschel E. Hewitt, who served Linfield as professor of Physics from 1921 to 1948. Hewitt Hall is one of the larger residence halls on campus, which means there is always something going on. Hewitt houses 85 students in single, double, and triple rooms. The first floor belongs to the male students while the two floors above house the women. Residents can look out to the softball field from their rooms and it is only a short walk from the post office and the campus convenience store. Each room in Hewitt is connected to the campus computer network, including internet, e-mail, and voice mail.

“[Linfield is] just a really comforting place. It’s a place where it seems like everybody gets along, everybody’s friendly and you can just be yourself. ”
