Driving & Parking Directions for Competitive Scholarship Day

Linfield is located in the mid-Willamette Valley on Highway 99W in McMinnville, Oregon.    

Linfield College parking passes are not required.  You are welcome to park in any campus parking lot or on the street.  Shuttle service to the Competitive Scholarship Day registration will be available from the parking lots near the intersection of Linfield Avenue and Davis Street.  Otherwise, it is about a five minute walk.

From Portland:
Approximately 1 hour

1. Take I-5 south to the Tualatin/Sherwood exit (#289).
2. Turn right (west) onto Nyberg Road.  Follow the signs to Tualatin/Sherwood Road.
3. *Proceed through the community of Tualatin until you reach Sherwood (5 miles).
4. In Sherwood, immediately past the Albertson’s shopping complex, take a left (south) onto Hwy 99W.
5. Stay on Hwy 99W through the communities of Newberg, Dundee and Lafayette (22 miles).  You will enter McMinnville at the northeast end of town.
6. Continue on Hwy 99W/Baker Street through McMinnville and you will see the Linfield campus on your left (3 miles).
7. Pass the main campus entrance at Fellows street (7-11 on the right) and go to the next traffic light at Linfield Avenue.
8. Turn left on Linfield Avenue.  There are two parking lots at the end of Linfield Avenue. 

From Portland International Airport (PDX) or Interstate 84:
Approximately 90 minutes

1. Take I-205 south to the I-5 northbound interchange (24 miles).
2. Go north on I-5, staying in the right lane.
3. Take the Tualatin-Sherwood exit (#289).
4. Make a left turn at the light onto Nyberg Road heading west.  Follow the signs to Tualatin/Sherwood Road.
5. Continue according to the directions above starting with the third point *.

From Salem:
Approximately 30 minutes

1. From I-5, take the North Santiam Hwy exit (#253) and go west into Salem.
2. Follow signs for Highway 22, through downtown Salem, crossing the Marion Street bridge.
3. Continue west on Highway 22 to the traffic light at the junction with Highway 99W (10 miles).
4. Turn right (north) on Highway 99W and follow the signs to McMinnville (20 miles).
5. In McMinnville, turn right on Linfield Avenue.  There are two parking lots at the end of Linfield Avenue. 

From Eugene:
Approximately 2 hours

1. Take I-5 north to the Hwy 34 exit (# 228) and go west to Corvallis.
2. In Corvallis, turn right on Hwy 99W (two blocks after crossing the bridge) and drive north following the signs to McMinnville (about 1 hour).
3. In McMinnville, turn right on Linfield Avenue.  There are two parking lots at the end of Linfield Avenue.
