Residence Life

Linfield College is a residential college, with over 70 percent of our students living on campus in college housing. Students that are under the age of 21 or who do not have senior standing (94 credits) are required to live on campus.

Transfer Freshman & Sophomores: Students with less than two years of college coursework completed will be housed in one of our many residence halls. The Office of Admission and Director of Residence Life will work to ensure a positive living environment and a roommate who matches your level of college experience and general interests and habits. Students living in residence halls also have a full meal plan for on-campus dining.

Transfer Juniors & Seniors: Students with two years or more of college coursework completed will be eligible to live in on-campus apartments. On campus apartment living is comparable to living off campus, only more convenient. Rent, utilities, and laundry are included in your room fee, paid at the beginning of every semester and you’ll be a short walk from classes and other campus activities.

Students with senior standing (94 semester credits), over the age of 21, married or who have children are welcome to live off campus.
