International Admission Requirements
Linfield College welcomes full-time international students seeking a four-year Bachelor’s degree. For non-native speakers of English an official report from any one of several language assessment examinations is required for entry directly into the regular academic programs. The following reports, with minimum scores indicated, are accepted by Linfield College:
| TOEFL iBT |
80 |
| TOEFL Paper |
550 |
| IELTS | 6.5 |
| TOEIC | 750 |
| EIKEN | Grade Pre-1 |
| ELCP Essay |
5.0 |
Students who meet Linfield’s academic requirements, but whose language assessment score is below the level noted above, may be conditionally admitted, and required to concentrate their studies initially in the English Language and Culture Program.
In addition, applicants are evaluated in several other areas that commonly indicate academic potential. These include academic performance in secondary schools, writing samples, and letters of recommendation. Because participation in non-academic activities is also important at Linfield, an applicant’s involvement in community and school activities is also considered in the evaluation process.
