Isabella: Beautiful Fall

Sophomore year has been busy, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is my love for the seasons. So while I have been running around trying to balance being president of the Habitat for Humanity Club this year, with all my responsibilities in student government, and homework for my classes, I make sure to take time to enjoy the change in seasons. Last year, I made the mistake of missing my chance to capture this extraordinary experience of the leaves changing colors on camera. I didn’t make that same mistake twice and took the time to capture these moments this year. Which I am pleased to share with you! I grew up in California, so the changing seasons, especially fall are jaw dropping to experience up here in Oregon.

I was talking with one of the parents on my tour this morning about my first time visiting campus. I had visited during February, so it was a bit nippy and wet outside. I didn’t realize until the following August when I came back up here to move in that there wasn’t always rain up here in Oregon. There is plenty of sunshine, mixed with several hot days surrounding summer. Plus, of course the rainy days as well, with the few days when I was fortunate enough to see it snow. Along with the odd ball days, when you experience all three of the weathers packed together in the span of 24 hours. (That was a fun experience. It’s not easy to play intramural soccer when it is raining and snowing at the same time!)

My advice for any high school student would be to find a place where you can see yourself living for more than a year. Somewhere you would want to live for four years and where you would never get tired of seeing that same scenery each day. By visiting campus you are able to get a better feeling for the school, and if that is the place for you.
