The trip I took to The Nightmare Factory turned to be everything I expected and more! I am so lucky to have a board here with students who put on such cool and adventurous events for us! The cost only ended up being 3 dollars (while the actual Nightmare Factory was $10) and was nice to be able to get out considering I don’t have a car. It was nice to be able to explore more of what Linfield has to offer and get into the Halloween spirit!
So, as you can see things have become much more adjusted in my life in college! I have a feeling I am not alone here as several other students have seemed to be happier and more comfortable with their workloads. Despite this I still found myself paying the price of slacking on reading in one of my classes. One big piece of advice I can give someone is to not slack on reading because it really can pile up! Luckily I was able to redeem myself, however, stayed up till four to make it up is not always fun.
As stupid as this might sound, with all the friends I have made it makes it sort of difficult to focus on the school work ahead. People are just too awesome here! I think that’s my one critique of Linfield… But I think I am going to start really reflecting on what I need to do and what I want to do because sometimes I get lost in the fun and stress of it all. It’s funny how high school can prep you as much as they like to college life but it is entirely different to actually be here. That’s for sure!
All in all, this last week has been a whirlwind but I feel things are getting a little more steady yet challenging (a.k.a. more interesting) which I am looking forward to. I think I am close to “getting it.” I hope so!
