There will be 4 opportunities to either present a speech or a toast during commencement weekend.  This will be an exciting opportunity to send off your classmates with your insights, represent your class to the community and infuse the ceremonies with the student voice.

The 4 opportunities are:

  1. 1.    Grad Finale Toast for the Class of 2013
  2. 2.    Grad Finale Toast on behalf of the Class of 2013 for parents and other loved ones
  3. 3.    Grad Finale Toast on behalf of the Class of 2013 for Linfield Faculty
  4. 4.    Student Commencement Speaker

All of these opportunities are open to all graduating students from all 3 Linfield Campuses (McMinnville, Portland and DCE).   All 4 speeches should be no longer then 4 minutes long, and should keep in mind the Linfield Experience as a whole, not just your experience on a particular campus.

To apply for this honor, submit you FULL draft of the speech to Dan Fergueson (dfergue@linfield.edu) NO LATER then Friday, April 5th at 5 pm.

All applicants will then be invited for a interview by the selection committee which will include your presentation of the speech sometime during the week of April 15th.

Any questions can be sent to Dan Fergueson (dfergue@linfield.edu)
