Academic Interests:
Dr. McGillin's most recent scholarly work is in the areas of faculty advising, assessment and faculty development. Her teaching interests include individual and familial development and abnormal psychology. Her current research includes a longitudinal study of individual factors, such as agency and self esteem, and support factors, such as family, peers and others, associated with risk or resilience in the transition to college.

Academic Interests:
Professor Atkinson has been a Linfield faculty member in the department of chemistry since 1997. Prior to becoming Associate Dean of Faculty in 2005, she was vice chair of Linfield?s facutly executive council for two years and previously served on the enrollment, retention, and student life committee and faculty development committee. Among her duties as associate dean, she coordinates faculty development initiatives and works with the Dean of Faculty and academic department heads on providing for the Linfield Curriculum and January-Term on-campus programs. She has published and presented research in the areas of aqueous waste remediation, synthesis of liquid crystalline phthalocyanines , and electrochemistry of amphiphilic polyoxotungstenates.

BA in French and English Albion College; M.Ed. Linfield College
Academic Interests:
Meridith graduated with a BA in French and English from Albion College; M.Ed. from Linfield; and from time to time works on an M.S. in Higher Education from Portland State University. She has a varied background including teaching French in middle school and Adult Basic Education/GED at Chemeketa Community College; broadcasting; Evergreen International Aviation; and the local wine industry. She came to Linfield in December, 1994 and has been the Administrative Assistant in the Office of Academic Affairs since that time. She has three grown children and four grandchildren. When away from campus, she is involved in many community activities and spends a great deal of time at Gallery Theatre in McMinnville.
